Ben Duffy is a 36 year old independent documentary filmmaker from New York. Finding his love for both skateboarding and filmmaking at age 13, he never wanted to put a camera or skateboard down, so at age 18, Ben decided to go to the School Of Visual Arts in NYC to study film. He then dropped out after his freshman year to pursue his dream of making a feature length skateboarding documentary in Los Angeles.
After the success of that documentary, “We Are Skateboarders,” he continued to make 5 more feature length documentaries as well as five short documentaries over the span of 10 years. He eventually went back to SVA to finish his BFA degree in film after making all these films. All these years later (age 36), Ben’s never had to look back once because he is still just in love with skateboarding and filmmaking and continues to do both every second he can.
